The EURINT Commercial Forecasting Director is an integral part of the Corporate Strategy team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. The role will report to the Executive Director, Forecasting CoE. The role is responsible for leading forecast & related business processes and informing decisions for the company's EURINT business. The role will partner with various cross-functional groups to develop, articulate, and maintain a viewpoint on commercial potential and corresponding investments/effort.
This position requires a qualified professional with experience working in a corporate and/or consulting setting. The candidate should be proficient in excel modeling and have a track record of developing analytics to support strategic & operational planning. The role requires experience in navigating in a matrix environment, preparing & presenting to senior management, and informing business decisions. The role will enhance decision making by providing analytical rigor through the development of scenarios, modeling risks & uncertainties, and clarifying trade-offs.

Essential Functions
Drive Projects & Workstreams Independently: or with minimal supervision. Will work on organizationally complex and high impact projects or products.
Lead revenue forecast process for EURINT commercial portfolio: Clarify & communicate scope and timelines. Set up appropriate forums to enable cross-functional input and reviews. Bring analytical frames and tools to facilitate dialogue and articulate the "story in numbers." Ensure timely delivery of the forecasting process and drive continuous improvement.
Establish Cross-functional Partnership: Activate and connect Global Finance, Business Intelligence, Regional Brand Leads, SFE Forecasters, Regional PMA Leads and others to deliver on the forecasts. Ensures that forecasts incorporate and inform brand strategies and investments.
Enable Consistent and Fit-for-Purpose Forecasting: Develop consistent and fit-for-purpose forecasting frameworks. Provide guidance on methodology, materiality, and rigor needed for growth vs. mature brands at each forecasting cycle.
Consolidate Forecasts and Develop Insights: to inform operational & strategic business questions in partnership with the cross-functional teams as appropriate. Prepare presentations for review and discussions with regional leadership. Provide analysis and insights to inform regional opportunities and risks for growth brands and/or commercial portfolio.
Be a Strategic Advisor: to the senior leaders & decision makers on business risks and opportunities and gain organizational alignment on quarterly and annual revenue targets for the EURINT business.
Build Forecasting Capabilities: Develop guidance, standard practices and templates on forecast presentations and use of benchmarks. Enable analytically driven dialogue across the region. Partner with Global Finance to implement and evolve Oracle platform in EURINT.
Deliver annual EURINT LRP: in partnership with EURINT BU. Enable a connection between near-term brand strategy and long-term enterprise ambition. Provide input into financial reporting requirements as needed i.e., impairment, VA/DTA, entity-level statutory filings, transfer pricing.
Shape & Inform Market Research: Partner with key stakeholders to outline business questions and inform/shape corresponding market research and consulting projects.
Participate and Partner on enterprise strategy projects on an ad-hoc basis.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive experience in a commercial forecasting, insights & analytics, financial planning, or management consulting with focus on biopharma.
Market Assessments: Direct experience in Europe and international markets, disease area and product forecasting. Ability to articulate the market and product understanding into a "story with numbers" i.e., scenarios, forecasts, tornado charts, waterfalls, value drivers/risks, and P&L.
Financial Modeling: Proficient in building excel-based forecast models, P&Ls, and other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Partnering & Collaboration: Track record of cross-functional partnering in solving business questions and ensuring input & alignment on analysis.
Leadership: Experience leading and establishing processes to accommodate disparate but overlapping needs.
Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to work in a fluid environment and adapt project approaches as internal or external conditions change.
Project Management: Ability to plan and tightly manage multiple work-streams while balancing multiple stakeholders.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication/presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and garner credibility.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) required; MBA (or equivalent) preferred.
