The newly created Brand & Experience team is responsible for defining and owning the Growth Model Capabilities to enable this ambitious growth strategy.

What are we looking for?

The job holder will need a unique combination of Marketing and L&D background/expertise to develop Growth capability areas across the complex Petcare business with different business models that should include:

  • Marketing, innovation, and digital transformation background
  • Learning and development background (creating and executing L&D programs specific to marketing)
  • Able to stand alone, influence without authority at all levels of the organization
  • Has the impact/gravity to drive change across the function and across the globe.

It is critical that the job holder has strong business insights - internally and externally, able to navigate through complexity and enable change management with high levels of strategic agility, political savviness, and stakeholder management given the role in defining, developing, and deploying critical growth capabilities and driving digital growth transformation at segment level.

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Define and manage the creation of the signature learning programs that will enable Petcare marketers across the 4 divisions (Pet Nutrition, Mars Veterinary Health, Royal Canin, & Mars Diagnostics) of the future to deliver organic growth powered by the new Growth model/flywheel and digital focused on the Pet Parent experience.
  • Shape and operationalize the Petcare Marketing community to ensure the strategic ambition of Petcare is effectively cascaded and executed through marketing community learnings, sharing, and best practice management.
  • Shape the Growth Learning strategy and roadmap - define 70/20/10 and online/digital vs face-to-face/immersion learning experiences and foster a continuous learning culture.
  • Create innovative signature programs and drive segment-level upskilling for marketers across Petcare focused on upskilling on the New Growth model/flywheel, Brand compass, CRM Training + MarTech Products, Creative & Content Effectiveness, Demand Space, and other defined priorities with a focus on Digital. Help embed it in the organization through required culture shifts.
  • Build new Growth programs curricula and roadmap and partner with Mars University, the 4 divisions, and external vendors to set it up starting with pilots and scaling up.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth community engagement strategies outlining the goals, audiences across Petcare, and online and offline initiatives to foster networking, best practice sharing, and creating a self-learning organization across the Petcare Growth ecosystem & 4 divisions.
  • Content Design, Production & Management: Develop numerous vehicles for the training to be deployed which include Live Training, Virtual Training, E-learning, AI learning, and the latest L&D mechanisms and capabilities.
  • Coordinate the interdependencies across marketing capabilities to ensure we deliver E2E executional excellence that drives Deployment activation of Training (Being Trainers, Trainer Trainers, Facilitators) through physically delivering and tracking the training + co-running priority strategic brand and business issue diagnostic assessment and recommendation sprints/workshops.
  • Set up and manage reporting on KPIs for all training initiatives and chart glide path to success. Drive course correction, where necessary, to influence adoption of initiatives globally.
  • Analyze training approaches and make recommendations to improve and scale key initiatives.
  • Identify and partner with aligned key strategic relationships with training partners, consultants, and industry bodies.
