With one of the highest levels of personal training penetration within the group reflecting the prestigious location of the club, there are significant opportunities to develop this further and to expand and enhance the scope and delivery of the junior activities programme while continuing to deliver a very successful 70+ class group ex timetable and a very successful learn to swim operation. As the fitness and activities manager, you will also get to carry out duty management shifts across the club, with the early shift starting at 5.30 am and the late finishing at 10.30 pm. There is a car parking space available for the successful candidate to be able to get to the club in time to open. This is a high-profile role within the company and offers the successful candidate a fantastic platform to showcase their leadership and coaching qualities working for a market-leading operator, independently recognized as being one of the top large employers to work for in the UK.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing your teams to deliver exceptional and consistent classes, activities, and service.
  • Achieving income and club performance targets by identifying key actions to drive each department forward.
  • Creating and implementing club action and improvement plans and managing the teams to deliver.
  • Working with partners and contractors to ensure consistent delivery of the service level agreements.
  • Creating rotas to deliver exceptional member engagement and experience.
  • Recruiting, inducting, and ensuring the ongoing coaching and development of your teams.

We are keen to hear from candidates with significant management club or fitness management experience working within the health and fitness industry or potentially those who have managed a large sports or children's activity programme.

In addition to a market-leading basic salary of 40k, there is an annual performance-related bonus worth a further 6K per annum, 5 weeks of holiday, ongoing training, and excellent future career development opportunities.
