Head of Risk

Responsibilities:

1. Assess and mitigate significant competitive, regulatory and technological threats to the firm's capital and earnings.
2. Build and manage a small, dedicated Risk team.
3. Deliver the Operational Risk framework for the business.
4. Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and manage risks.
5. Provide assurance to the senior management team that all operations are in compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications:

1. Experienced senior Risk specialist within the Financial Services arena.
2. Previous Insurance experience is advantageous.
3. Experience of developing and implementing Risk Management frameworks.
4. Proven track record of senior stakeholder engagement and management.
5. Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
6. Willingness to work in a hands-on manner.
