Lead Estimator (Gas)

2 X Lead Estimators (Freelance) required for a Gas Project in Warwick up to £500 Per day (Hybrid working)

Job Title: Lead Estimator - Gas ConstructionLocation: Hybrid (Office in Warwick and Home Working)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Lead Estimator to join our gas construction team. In this role, you will manage and develop project cost estimates, and be responsible for the development of estimating methodologies and defining the associated levels of confidence. You will collaborate with the project team to establish the project scope, identify gaps in available information essential for cost estimation, and assess project risks.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage project cost estimates.

Define and enhance estimating methodologies and confidence levels.

Collaborate with project teams to establish project scope and identify information gaps.

Improve the quality of available data to produce robust estimates.

Challenge existing details and obtain missing information to develop assumptions.

Track progress and manage governance reviews and sign-offs.

Report directly to the Senior Estimator.

Undertake estimations for gas construction projects.

Update processes and procedures for estimation.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements:
Essential:

Estimating experience, ideally within the utilities or gas industry.

Ability to interpret technical and cost information.

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Experience and knowledge in construction.

Strong analytical and technical data skills.
