Hours: 37.5hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking foran SEN Teacher for our New Options School - Ryecroft School inWalsall.

About therole

Working as an SEN Teacher, youwill create a positive and safe learning environment for the pupilsand promote positive relationships between peers. You will becalm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style ofteaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach theirpotential. You will also collaborate with the SLT to secure highstandards of teaching and learning, have willingness to lead on acurriculum area(s), and contribute to a lively and stimulatingenvironment. We need people who share our vision to buildincredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK,to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Teachers with a background in Early Years and PrimaryTeaching would be suitable for this position.

Duties:

  • To ensure a capable learning environment wherepupils thrive, have their needs met and have access to positiveinteractions.

  • To securehigh quality teaching through effective use of resources andplanning.

  • To organisepersonalised learning activities and experiences which aredifferentiated to meet the individual needs and levels ofachievement of each pupil.

  • To be responsible for planning, tracking,evaluating, assessing and reporting the teaching and learning ofpupils.

  • Writing andupdating Individual Outcomes

  • To supervise, develop and manage TeachingAssistants relevant to their responsibilities.

  • To liaise with parents, carers, and externalagencies as appropriate.

Key Skills Required:

  • Hold Qualified TeacherStatus/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills

  • Have a background of teaching English and Mathsat Primary Level, delivering teaching at a good or outstandinglevel

The cohortis currently looking like it will be primary, ASC and complex needspupils including some in Early Years.

OurNew Options School - Ryecroft School will have capacity for60 pupils and is due to open in September 2024. Our NewOptions School will cater for pupils with Autism and complexneeds.

The school is located in Walsall. Walsallis a market town in the West Midlands County. It is located 9 milesnorth-west of Birmingham, 7 miles east of Wolverhampton and 9 milesfrom Lichfield.

For over 16 years Options Autismhave provided care and education to pupils, young people and adultswith autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
