Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Applications are invited for the above post commencing on 10 th March 2025 for 5 months in the first instance. You must have completed Core Surgical Training in the UK or hold a CREST certificate or equivalent - evidence of this must be provided.

This post will not lead to a CCT in the specialty, but time spent in this post may be beneficial in applying to specialty training in Paediatric Surgery or related paediatric surgical specialties.

Post holders will be expected to participate fully in the departmental educational programme and be subject to learning agreement and engagement with the ISCP process. Although these posts do not hold educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, they will give valuable experience in paediatric surgical and associated specialities (general surgery, urology and Neonatal Surgery).

To practice medicine in the UK, you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
