The vaccines portfolio is a key growth driver for GSK due to launches, high growth assets and optimisation of the established portfolio. The global commercial operations team is accountable for supporting all vaccines in the GSK portfolio in all geographies ensuring industry leading tender bid strategies and operational pricing management; supply guidance to GIO to maximise business performance and leadership of transversal commercial global processes especially business planning and commercial congress strategy.
Accountabilities:- This role is responsible for ensuring the right governance & clarity of asks/communications of strategic commercial topics are managed through the most efficient channels and the right level of engagement. This person will act as the Commercial decisions control tower ensuring that the right commercial strategic decisions are taken at the right place, and the right time.
- While approx. 60% of the role will be focussed on strong process management, 40% of the role will be focussed on ensuring that the content is at the appropriate level to support the commercial strategic decision in the right governance forums (ensuring clarity of framing including slides, questions and asks).
- The role is also accountable for performing after-action-reviews to further improve efficiency, speed, simplification and quality of inputs/outputs and governance ways of working overall.
- The role will build strong relationships with session owners providing guidance and challenge.
- Track delivery against actions and progress of transversal workstreams.
- Ensure appropriate scheduling, quality of input and on-time deliverables (pre-reads etc) for the key commercial governance areas especially QBR & MPRs.
- Definition and leadership of internal global commercial communications including town halls, All Hands, etc. to ensure input into and understanding of strategy and operational focus. The role will also help ensure understanding and alignment with new GSK purpose, strategy & culture.
- Provide a SPOC for vaccines commercial resources managed in Global strategy & insights and access teams (TT) ensuring objectives and deliverables are aligned to global vx priorities and high awareness of vx critical communications.
- Leadership & management of tender & pricing, CCC and business operations teams supporting development of team leads and helping to ensure focus areas are aligned to business priorities. Enable discussions to ensure a continuous improvement mindset and strong engagement with key partners especially VCLs.
- Build a strong cross team environment with increased peer support and challenge on business challenges and people development.
- Work with Head CCC to ensure the GSK wide supply chain transformation meets the needs of the vaccines commercial organisation (global, regional & local) including any proposed structure or governance changes.
- Provide the broader GSK and vaccines strategic context to inform decisions of OPSLT and their teams.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills - ability to influence others outside direct management.
- Experience in matrix functioning with several hierarchical levels, diverse skill sets and multiple interfaces.
- Strategic focus: ability to identify the key themes and fit with broader strategic focus.
- Ability to work with uncertainty bringing clarity to complex interfaces (including demonstrated verbally and visually on slides).
- Strong organisational & project management skills.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy and demonstrate good judgment in knowing when to seek broader input.
- Strong quality written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop briefing appropriate to senior leadership.
