Senior Facilities Manager

We are seeking a confident and proactive Senior Facilities Manager to join our dynamic Facilities Team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operation of our London office facilities, ensuring a professional, safe, and modern working environment. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will be responsible for service excellence across front of house, office services, storage, cleaning, security, and maintenance. You will also support the efficient operation of our technical facilities and manage hybrid working needs. You will take pride in delivering an outstanding visitor experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (Duties)
- Office Management: Ensure a fully operational and professionally managed office environment, including front of house, desk space, meeting rooms, social spaces, kitchens, storage, security, cleaning, and health & safety.
- Maintenance & Safety: Proactively identify and address maintenance issues, manage HVAC systems, ensure server room conditions, and oversee fire safety systems.
- Budget & Supplier Management: Manage budgets, liaise with landlords, oversee sub-contracted services, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the London Facilities Team, fostering a customer service-oriented approach.
- Compliance & Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements, manage day-to-day health & safety, and aid business continuity planning.
- Hybrid Working Support: Assist staff with safe and effective hybrid working setups.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Experience)
- Experience: Strong facilities management experience in a busy office or events space, managing budgets, and mentoring junior team members.
- Customer Service: Approachable and responsive, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Supplier Management: Experience in managing contracts and relationships with facilities-related services.
- Incident Management: Proven ability to manage and resolve health & safety or business continuity incidents.
- Knowledge: Understanding of H&S legislation, PAT, CCTV, and fire systems.
- Qualifications: H&S qualifications (e.g., IOSH, BIFM, NEBOSH, IWFM) are desirable.
- Skills: Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
