Your new company
A social housing provider in Sheffield is looking for a Senior Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time role but offers hybrid working and flexible working. 37 hours per week but start times between 8 & 9 and finish times between 9 & 5.
A mix of working in the office, from home and on-site visits.
£35,500 - £39,000 salary but with a pending pay award which should increase these bandings.
Will need to use own vehicle for any site visits but mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
Your new role
Duties:
- Working on legionella and sewage programmes.
- To oversee projects around obsolete heating & heating upgrades.
- Oversee and support the day-to-day work of Investment Assistants & Business Support staff
- Assist with the training of staff;
- Being responsible for effective consultation and communication, both formally and informally, with tenants, contractors, elected members and colleagues. This may also include liaising with emergency services, HSE and the Environmental Agency and other external stakeholders,
- Attendance, reporting too and active participation at but not limited to local project groups, working groups, progress meetings,
- Undertaking the first stage reviews, appeals, implementation of the complaints procedure, including replies to elected members and other bodies, as associated with service delivery,
- Undertaking the role of active client and delivery of contract administration within a partnership environment, including scheme preparation and contract administration duties including but not limited to, testing and defect inspections, property handovers and quality assurance processes.
- Demonstrate a knowledge, understanding and practical application of but not limited to all areas of Construction health and safety, Construction, Design and Management Regulations, asbestos management/awareness, building regulations and working practices.
- Undertake inspections and surveys, prepare, produce and present technical and non-technical reports and designs including the making of recommendations and remedial actions.
- Effective operation of IT systems and contribute towards their improvement;
- Work closely with Neighbourhood Management Teams to help ensure that local intelligence effectively informs programmes of work
- Liaise as required with other teams within the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service to help ensure joined-up approach to asset management within our neighbourhoods.
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing
- Domestic Gas Safe Registered
- Full UK Driving License and Own Vehicle
- Ideally have previous experience and/or training in legionella
- Ideally have previous experience and/or training in retrofit, decarbonisation etc.
