Stores Person

Our client are an established manufacturer based in Hayes specialise in the aerospace and defence sector and they are now looking for a Stores Person to join them on a permanent basis.If you're looking to join a organisation who offer great benefits, progression and culture then please apply!Responsibilities

• Undertake initial training to operate in stores area. This to include a good understanding of day-to-day stores activities and to gain a wider overview of operation
• Undertake training for: Health and safety training required for stores operation - Forklift truck operation - Known Consignor status (KC)
• Be conversant with goods-in processes
• Ensure Inventory is stored in the correct and safe manner, and be conversant with all stocking conventions including inventory check processes and procedures
• Provide service to customers, including an 'across the counter service and kitting service' that is timely and efficient and planned, whilst assuring transactions are correctly completed
• Packing and shipping of all goods that leave. This includes customer order returns to suppliers and free issue materials. Ensuring that these products are packed in designated packaging safe for transport
• Housekeeping "GEMBA good", and general maintenance of site including COSHH and H&S legislation
• Undertaking any other tasks, which may be reasonably requested.
• To perform his/her duties with respect to all Company Procedures including Health & Safety requirements

Experience Required

• Experience of working in a Stores Person role or Goods-In (Warehouse) environment
• GCSE Pass in 5 subjects to include English and Math's
• NVQs BTEC up to Level 2
