Infopro Digital group are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a 9 - 12 month permanent contract to strengthen the team at our London office.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be a key player in the Finance department.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Maintaining receivable and payable transactions and working closely with the sales team in order to obtain accurate revenue invoices.
- Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.
- If required, assist with credit control.
- Other ad-hoc or project tasks.
The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail and take care to produce accurate, timely, and valuable work.
You will have a:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Understanding of expense accounts and cost centres.
- Understanding of compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- Ideally experience of working in a finance department.
- An eagerness to learn, develop and improve, both personally and in systems and processes.
You will receive on-the-job training for the role as well as in areas you do not have previous experience.
