Hays are working with a well established client in Loughborough who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. The Management Accounts Assistant supports the Management Accountant in preparing and presenting financial reports that provide senior managers with insights into the company's performance. This role is crucial for forecasting income, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring financial stability.
Your new role

• Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments, bad debts, and rebates
  
• Preparing financial statements and annual budgets
  
• Ensuring spending aligns with budgets
  
• Managing fixed asset postings and conducting monthly analysis against budget
  
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  
• Providing credit control and purchase ledger support
  
• Analysing the company's financial performance and making long-term forecasts
  
• Recommending cost-cutting measures
  
• Providing information for audits and external reporting
  
• Collaborating with all departments and the management team to support financial decision-making, including branch system process guidance and adherence to group companies' financial procedures
  

What you'll need to succeed

• AAT level 2 or 3 qualified
  
• At least 2 years experience working in finance
