Associate General Counsel (Professional Indemnity)

An international law firm based in London is hiring for an Associate General Counsel (5+ PQE), focused on professional indemnity for their Office of General Counsel function. You will also get the chance to be involved in a broad range of risk and compliance related matters.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the protection of the firm by procuring relevant insurance protection in various areas and liaising with brokers and insurers.
• Ensuring that the firm complies with the relevant laws and regulations.
• Assisting with queries which arise regarding the SRA Code, professional standards, best practice, and ethics.
• Identifying and managing legal risks that the firm may face, and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Assisting with the documentation surrounding a partner's legal relationship to the firm on joining or other change.

Key skills:

• Qualified lawyer (England & Wales), with at least 5 years' PQE.
• Training and experience gained at a leading international law firm.
• A detailed knowledge of the SRA Handbook, especially the Code of Conduct.
• Professional negligence experience as a fee earner ideal.
