The Consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the General Practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant. A specimen timetable illustrating how the consultant timetable may be arranged within the current framework can be found in the attached job description. You will engage with the development of your Job Plan.

We are now seeking to recruit Consultant Psychiatrists to join our community mental health services City West on a full time or part time basis. You will be receiving at Level C £22,500 recruitment and retention premia, which will be paid over the 3 years on top of your salary and a relocation package up to £8000

Person Specification Qualifications- GMC Registration
- GMC Licence to Practice
- Medical Qualification
- MRC Psych or equivalent
- Specialist Register (Subspecialty)
- CCT or equivalent
- Eligible for CCT or equivalent within 6 months of the interview date
- Higher Degree
- Diploma
- Clinical expertise in speciality/sub specialty
- Appropriate training as defined by the relevant SAC of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Approved/eligible for approval for Section 12 of Mental Health Act and Approved Clinician status
- Awareness of research methods and understanding of application of research findings in service development
- Broad range of experience across relevant settings
- Experience as a researcher. Publications in peer-reviewed articles and/or chapters/books. Supervision of research of others
- Is aware of need to influence others through different means. Adapts styles and content to meet the situational requirements. Assertive but not passive or aggressive.
