Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Analysis: Dive into analysing bank receipts and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Reconciliation: Master the art of reconciling cash receipts and payments with accounting entries within agreed deadlines.
3. Payment Processing: Handle payments to clients, markets, and third parties using our internet banking system.
4. Bank Reconciliations: Assist in preparing IBA bank reconciliations.
5. Currency Management: Tackle foreign currency and exchange issues as needed.
6. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, markets, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of queries.
7. Reporting: Create both standard and ad-hoc accounting reports.
8. Query Management: Maintain the query log with detailed notes on outstanding issues and actions.
9. Credit Control: Manage credit control, ensuring prompt creation and distribution of statements.

Skills & Knowledge

1. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Reporting: Experience in producing management accounts and related reports.
3. Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
4. Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial software.
5. Industry Experience: Previous experience in a commercially focused IBA role, ideally within the global (re)insurance sector.
6. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in handling IBA documentation.
