Full-time with 38.5 hours per week

With over 100 specialists, the IT division of Münster University Hospital enables the digitalization of patient care for around 11,000 employees, our patients, their relatives and networked partner facilities of the UKM. We support and implement efficient processes and professional communication. As one of the most efficient IT organizations in Münsterland, we manage more than 6,500 workstations, over 1,000 servers, the further development and expansion of our business and clinical systems (primarily SAP and Orbis) and manage key strategic IT projects.

Our aim is to implement the requirements for modern, secure and highly available information and telecommunications technology reliably, quickly and effectively. The Core Services team in the Technology Management department plays a key role in overcoming these complex challenges of digitalization in the healthcare sector. The System Management team is responsible for ensuring productive IT operations and for operating the data centers, the virtualization infrastructure and the backup and storage systems.

Your area of responsibility:
  • As a member of a team of specialists, you will be jointly responsible for the design and implementation of sophisticated, innovative solutions, both at a professional and technical level.
  • You will be involved in the strategic development of the IT infrastructure.
  • Planning, installation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure as well as problem analysis and second-level support in one or more of the following IT infrastructure environments:
    • The Microsoft 365 environment, especially in the areas of Share Point Online and OneDrive for Business
    • The UKM's central virtualization environment based on VMware vSphere with VMware VSAN and VMware Aria Automation
    • The Commvault backup infrastructure
    • UKM's central storage systems based on various NetApp and Pure Storage systems
  • Participation in the on-call service
We look forward to seeing you:
  • A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist in system integration, a degree in information technology or a comparable qualification
  • Good knowledge of the administration of the above systems and technologies
  • Willingness to participate in internal and external training courses
  • Further development of the above-mentioned skills
  • Initiative, commitment and independent working style
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
