Lending Director, Investment Finance

Established in 2013, our client has lent over £2bn of real estate debt across England and Wales, and the fund is now owned by a Global Investment Manager with $13bn AUM.

Following an increase in lending appetite and ambition to grow the loan book, a new opportunity has arisen to hire a Lending Director into their Investment Finance team.

The team will look at all asset classes and loans up to £150m across England and Wales. The Lending Directors are supported by a team of loan underwriters and credit managers to assist with deal execution.

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Debt, the role involves fully supporting the origination and execution of investment opportunities for Real Estate Debt.

• Sourcing new business and building relationships with market counterparties to access a broad pool of new real estate loan opportunities and filtering these to provide prospective lending opportunities that can be recommended to clients.
• Taking the transactional lead on all new loan opportunities, including their review, preparing and/or oversight of Term Sheets, suitable loan structuring, and liaising with the client.
• Conducting due diligence, credit and investment assessment, and preparation of investment paper submissions to the Private Credit Investment Committee and any other governance committee required, presenting to such committees where appropriate.
• Working as part of the team in negotiating and executing transactions in line with client requirements to obtain best value.
