Network Engineer - VMware

Network Engineer vacancy requiring profound VMware knowledge for our Bern based client in the telecommunications sector.

Your tasks:

• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process including integrating code changes into a shared repository and automating the testing and deployment of applications
• Managing IT infrastructure including provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Servers, storage, and networking resources using technologies like VMware vSphere and Kubernetes
• Monitoring application performance and infrastructure health utilizing monitoring tools to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Fostering collaboration between development and operations teams to enhance productivity and streamline workflows
• Automating repetitive tasks and processes, such as deployment, testing, and infrastructure management improving efficiency and reducing errors

Your experience/knowledge:

• Several years of professional experience as Network or DevOps engineer in virtualization environments and large platforms involving VMware technologies
• Expertise in DevOps tools like GIT, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD
• Proficiency in automation of network configurations and operational procedures
• Certified knowledge of NSX-T, VMware Vsphere, VCD, Cisco CCNP, CCNA or similar
• Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken, German - beneficial
