Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday
Salary: Up to £38,000.00 per annum(dependant on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Term Timeonly

Aboutthe role
To be accountable for studentprogress and development within the curriculum area and maintain anup-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional dutiesof teachers. The postholder will be aware of the statutoryframework within which they work and contribute to the development,implementation and evaluation of the policies and practice of theschool.
To provide a first-class education toeach student that attends the school, though their ownprofessional development and be a role model of professionalism andgood practice.
To work with senior leaders toidentify, plan, deliver and evaluate targeted interventions withidentified individuals.
GeneralResponsibilities:
Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils andyoung people;
Work inaccordance with professional practice, statutory and legalrequirements and the policies of Longdon HallSchool
Take responsibilityfor specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually thennegotiated and agreed within the performance management cycle andschool improvement process;
Set appropriate and achievable expectations andtargets for pupils
Ensurethat parent/carers are well informed about the curriculum, targets,pupils' progress and attainment.
Qualifications
Grade C or above in Maths and Englishand subject specific qualification,
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety ofclassroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individualneed. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be runningclassroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervisingpupils as they explore further afield.
