Birmingham: The Harborne Hospital
Full time: Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Flexible to work, long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation.

Salary: £Competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance

We're looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Surgical Inpatients team at the Harborne Hospital. The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in Cardiothoracic surgery, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients at HCA Healthcare UK. Day to day you'll provide clinical leadership, support junior colleagues, and act as a role model within the team. Our ward is a 12-bedded multi-specialty surgical unit, caring for patients across GI, Gynae, Orthopaedics, Breast, Spinal, Liver, and more. It also includes a 6-bedded Enhanced Care Unit with in-room cardiac monitoring and a state-of-the-art 6-bedded Intensive Care Unit.

What you'll bring:

Experience working in a surgical inpatient setting
Proven experience in caring for patients following cardiac / thoracic surgery
Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council
A willingness to undertake relevant post-registration courses
Basic Life Support
A track record of Mentorship / Preceptorship with junior colleagues
