Staff Nurse - Children's Resource Centre

We are looking for a Band 5 Nurse who wants to join our Paediatric team, delivering high standards of nursing care to work as part of a nursing team dedicated to improving the service the clinical area offers and participating with future developments. Applicants must be registered with the UK NMC registration.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for an innovative, highly motivated individual either experienced or newly qualified. As part of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, we provide specialist healthcare services for children and young people throughout the North West, as well as nationally and internationally. The post available is at the Childrens Resource Centre at Trafford General Hospital. The post holder must be organised, responsive and flexible in coordinating and leading daycase surgery, outpatient clinics and supporting specialist Nursing teams. They must also be trained or prepared to train in phlebotomy.

Person Specification Qualifications- Degree or Diploma
- RN Child
- Teaching Qualification
- Degree level 6 study Diploma
- Knowledge of current nursing issues
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Organisation and Problem Solving skills
- Involvement in change/improvement processes
- Experience of working on own and as part of a team
- Ability to supervise and support junior staff
- Evidence of teaching and assessing skills/ability
- Awareness of clinical Audit
- Evidence undertaking a mentor/preceptor role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Proven ability to problem solve
- Demonstrates awareness of own limitations
- Ability to organise workload and delegate tasks appropriately
