Join Our Team

Cundall are an award winning international multi-disciplinary consultancy, operating throughout the UK, Australia, Asia, MENA and Europe.

Cundall's leading Sustainability & Building Physics team is a key part of our international business. As a recognised leader in sustainability across the world, our team believes that we have so much more we can and need to do. With a brilliant track record of designing innovative, sustainable and energy efficient solutions, that minimise the use of natural resources, the team are looking for placements who are passionate about helping us make a positive impact to our environment and a difference to our homes, offices, industry and community.

As a medium-sized but truly international consultancy, we are big enough to be able to provide a wide range of challenging projects for our staff, but still at a size where our students can be treated as individuals and given real responsibility at an early stage.

The Role You'll Play

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented sustainability graduate to join our team in London in 2025, to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in the UK and around the world.

Working under the guidance and supervision of the experienced team, you'll develop your existing knowledge and skills in energy modelling and assist with the development of energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings. You will find yourself working on projects that fall within the following workstreams:

  • Building physics and parametric model services
  • Building performance and operational energy optimisation
  • Certification and compliance
  • Health and wellbeing advice and guidance
  • Net zero and whole life carbon services
  • Sustainability design and ESG services

With the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop over time, you'll be supported and encouraged to work towards Chartership through one of our accredited training schemes.

The Skills You'll Bring

Individuals who are interested in the 12-month Internship opportunity will need to be:

  • On track to achieve a 2:1 or above
  • Working towards a degree in Sustainability, the Built Environment or Engineering
  • Preferably in your second or third year of study
  • Have a passion for improving the built environment
  • Be interested in design and sustainable design principles

With a real passion for sustainable design, you're organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities. You strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture. Creating environments where everyone can find joy doing their best work is also great for everyone. That's why we positively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, and encourage, support, and celebrate the diverse voices of our people.
