There is a growing prevalence of diseases which can be directly linked to our modern lifestyle and diet. Research into preventing and reversing type 2 diabetes is now heavily focused on obesity and weight loss.
On this course, you will explore the physiological effects of weight gain and weight loss. You will consider what is meant by type 2 diabetes prevention, remission, reversal and cure.
You will also examine how those living with type 2 diabetes can help themselves, as well as the role of healthcare professionals in supporting self-management.
This course is designed for healthcare professionals with a general interest in diabetes who are looking to upskill themselves or eventually take a full diabetes postgraduate qualification.
