The leading consultancy firm is looking for a skilled Data Modeler to join the team for an initial 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days per week required onsite in Coventry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and implement logical and physical data models for IT and business solutions, ensuring data structures align with business objectives.
• Develop and operationalize complex data solutions, addressing quality, transformation, and integrity requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into efficient data models.
• Create entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), data flow diagrams, and other visualization tools to represent data structures.
• Collaborate with database administrators and software engineers to implement and maintain data models in databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.

Skills/Must have:

• Experience in data modelling, database design or related field
• Expertise in relational, dimensional, and analytical data modelling across RDBMS and NoSQL platforms.
• Proficiency in industry-standard data modelling tools such as Erwin or ER/Studio.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, manipulation, and optimization, with knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or R as a plus.
• Experience with dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business needs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for complex data concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
