The leading consultancy firm is looking for a skilled Base24 Engineer to join the team for an initial 6-month contract, with the rate signed off inside IR35. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, based in Swindon.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain Base24 software applications.
2. Implement and support ATM/POS projects initiated by the business, including migration from Base24 classic to Base24 EPS, card schemes, and other regulatory changes.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and service incidents.
4. Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes to optimize system performance and security.

Skills/Must have:

1. Strong experience in programming languages such as TAL, COBOL, and S-COBOL.
2. Comprehensive understanding of Base24 engineering including ATM/POS functionality, transaction switching, VISA and LINK interfaces, and EMV standards.
3. Hands-on experience with HP NonStop systems and tools such as VersaTest and XPNET.
4. Proficient in Pathway/Pathcom, Enscribe, TMF, FUP, Enform, EMS, Batchcom, Device Handlers, Internal/External Messages, NCPCOM, Extract/Refresh, NETADRD, AFT Screens, ICE:XS, Security, TSS, ACI Desktop, RMS, and RPQ methodology.
