Job Description

This is a hybrid role that will require occasional travel into our UK locations which will fluctuate depending on business needs.

Salary: £44,000 per annum

Employment type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours per week: 37

About the Opportunity:
You will play an important role in shaping and delivering key messages and resources from the Provost Office, acting as a central voice for transitional change during the ArdenNEXT project. This role is responsible for planning, curating, and executing effective communication strategies to ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement across academic and wider university teams.

By developing branded resources, digital content, and video materials, the role aims to enhance awareness of ArdenNEXT, align messaging with university values, and provide academic teams with the tools they need to navigate this transformation successfully.

About You:
We are looking for someone with the following experience and skill set:

Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Business, or Media/Film Production.
  • Or, at least 3 years experience in a relevant marketing or communications role.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges within Higher Education and a diverse student body.
  • Proven track record in delivering end-to-end communication plans that improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Experience working within a Marketing Department, with knowledge of GDPR and data protection considerations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, including workflow and project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, web, and CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and clearly.
  • Eye for detail and design, ensuring all communications align with brand specifications.
  • Experience in planning and executing high-quality video content.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure success against KPIs and ROI.
  • Knowledge of marketing communication processes, with an understanding of how different university departments interact.

This role requires someone with creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to build strong relationships to drive engagement and effective communication across the university.
