About the roleThe primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and enhance the experience of customers with accessibility requirements at Far and Beyond's outdoor events, ensuring an inclusive environment through the implementation of best accessibility practices. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping accessibility offerings across a range of world-renowned events, ensuring both Far and Beyond and its clients remain compliant with DDA regulations in providing accessible facilities across the project portfolio.
This role will be a mixture of leading and being the main point of contact for projects and also providing onsite support at a coordinator level.
- Overseeing, training, and leading accessibility teams for optimal performance and inclusivity.
- Acting as the main point of contact between festival event management, health & safety and security.
- Reviewing incoming applications for onsite accessibility facilities and using the data captured to assist in ensuring the correct level of facilities are supplied per event.
- Coordinating both the advance and onsite provision of accessibility facilities across each event site.
- Ensuring working practices are compliant with health & safety and accessibility legislation at all times.
- Maintaining accessibility facilities throughout the duration of the event, ensuring they are readily available, fit for purpose and reporting issues/repairs accordingly.
- Responding to accessibility customers via email, phone or letter in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Presenting a high level of customer service at all times; both in written and verbal communications. Demonstrating a genuine level of care and empathy and providing positive resolutions wherever possible.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in event management, with a focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, effectively coordinating tasks and collaborating across various departments for a unified accessible experience.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of health & safety regulations concerning accessibility and proven ability to ensure compliance in a festival/event setting.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational prowess to manage processes, facilities, and the application system effectively.
- Passion for Inclusivity: A genuine passion for making events accessible to diverse audiences, coupled with creativity in implementing innovative solutions.
- Excel in collaborative efforts, partnering with event management, health & safety experts, and security teams to develop pioneering accessibility solutions.
- Committed to making events and festivals accessible to all, driven by an unwavering dedication to inclusivity for diverse audiences' equal access to unforgettable experiences.
- Effortlessly guide an accessibility staff team and seamlessly integrate with security operations, fostering a unified approach to accessibility across the festival site.
- Meticulous attention to detail in managing processes, facilities, and intricate systems, pivotal in maintaining top-notch accessible facilities.
- Desirable: Previous experience of working with Attitude is Everything.
£45,000 per annum (pro rata)

Travel as required per project (travel expenses covered for projects only)
Generally Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm, and extra hours as needed. Onsite hours vary in length but are generally 8am - 8pm (and longer on show days) - this can also include weekends.
