Account Manager - Investments & Wealth

We are looking for talented people with the following experience:
- Strong understanding of UK wealth, investment and protection products and their distribution
- Demonstrable track record of commercial success in an Account Manager, sales role or similar where you been selling Software as a Service and Subscription

Defaqto supports clients with the marketing of their products via use of Star ratings and related products for intermediated, protection, platform, pension (tax wrapper) and investment product suites. Defaqto further supports proposition design, creation, optimisation and compliance via industry leading software.
Role Purpose
You will be responsible for managing and growing existing commercial relationships and generating new customers for Defaqto in the wealth and investment sectors, with a specific focus on pension (tax wrapper) providers and life companies.
What you'll do
- Own a revenue target via a portfolio of clients and potential clients.
- Manage a portfolio of clients with a view to growing income and ensure they are achieving maximum value from the Defaqto products that they use and seek out ways of extending their investments in our solutions.
- Deepen the commercial relationships with proposition providers and life companies and spread the understanding of Defaqto across organizations.
- Demonstrate a solution selling approach to understanding needs, identify challenges and opportunities.
- Run sales meetings with individual representatives from our clients, and prospects, and lead presentations to larger groups, in person and via video meeting.
- Demonstrate Defaqto software.
- Position Defaqto's expertise and insight across the various functions within the client organisation.
- Feedback ideas and market intelligence into the business.
What you'll need to succeed
- Have a strong understanding of wealth, investment and protection product distribution in the UK.
- Demonstrate a track record of commercial success in an Account Manager, sales role or similar.
- Experience of selling Software as a Service and Subscription based sales.
- Have strong commercial skills with a focus on finding a suitable solution for the client based on fact finding.
- Ability to build strong, multiple contact, commercial relationships.
- Track record of deepening relationships within large accounts.
- Demonstrate an ability to present a solution in a meaningful way.
- Experience of working with MEDDIC, Miller Hyman or similar sales methodologies.
Other
You'll need to hold a valid UK driving license and be able to travel with overnight stays as and when required.

Work Location
This is a largely remote role with travel to clients as required. You'll also need to travel to the Haddenham office at least monthly for team strategy and update meetings.
