Job Description

A highly successful, award-winning law firm with offices in the UK and Europe is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Finance team.


The role offers hybrid working (3 days per week in their Central London office and 2 days per week working from home).


As the Accounts Payable Clerk, reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the administration of accounts payable, disbursement, and petty cash management.


Your key responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Clerk will include:
  1. Receiving and processing purchase invoices and cheque requests.
  2. Inputting supplier and associate invoices into the accounting system.
  3. Processing bank and BACs payments to suppliers and sending remittance advices.
  4. Inputting all bank payment entries and reconciling supplier accounts in the accounting system.
  5. Responding to questions and making calls regarding supplier invoicing problems.
  6. Reconciling bank accounts monthly and managing petty cash.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience working in accounts payable, ideally within a law firm or the wider professional services sector. You will be a team player with a can-do attitude, good IT skills, and experience working with Access accounting software.


The salary on offer is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus a great benefits package which includes private healthcare, enhanced maternity/parental leave, flexi leave, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) - to name a few.
