THE ROLE

This is a consulting role operating at the intersection of technology, business and transformation. Our solutions bring together multiple domains in artificial intelligence, optimisation science, applied mathematics, software engineering and user product development, often solving complex problems that have never been solved before and apply the latest thinking in academic research. This requires dynamic, adaptable consulting skills that are critical in engaging with executives and users alike to make sure we solve big problems and build things that people want.

You will be primarily responsible for managing the entire delivery life cycle: problem definition, evaluation of benefits, scoping, creating roadmaps and then executing delivery. Our projects can be a combination of consultancy services and product development so it would be ideal if the candidate had sufficient knowledge of the artificial intelligence products and generative AI. You will be working closely with technical teams to create the value our clients want.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with clients to understand their pain points and challenges, using various techniques such as workshops, interviews and business analysis
2. Generate business or value cases for the work that we do, helping our clients to see the impact that our products can have
3. Generate proposals of how our services can solve the business challenges a client faces
4. Conduct requirements gathering with business executives, management, technical and operational stakeholders
5. Develop compelling roadmaps and then manage the delivery with our technical experts, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, to budget, and maximise the impact of our work
6. Work closely with product marketing, data scientists and optimisation scientists
7. Ensure that the delivery team are operating effectively, cohesively and ensure the environment supports continual improvement and psychological safety
8. Develop, nurture and grow client relationships as part of an account team, becoming a trusted advisor to your clients
9. Proactively coach, mentor and support other Satalians

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

1. Relevant consulting experience (ideally within management consultancy)
2. Have a strong consulting skillset: problem solving, requirements capture, effective communication, build relationships, ability to deliver
3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
4. Ability to plan, run and own workshops
5. Proven track record of successful project delivery
6. Experience working with technical experts such as data scientists, optimisation scientists
7. Have an understanding of AI, including generative, and stay up to date with the latest developments
8. Have an understanding of the software development lifecycle
9. High motivation and agency and comfortable with ambiguity or complexity
10. Experience of working directly with clients and business partners
11. Experience driving and influencing change
12. Excellent negotiation skills to resolve competing priorities
13. Ability to present and pitch ideas and solutions to senior stakeholders
14. Passion for client success and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree
