Job Description

Air Conditioning Engineer
FULL TIME - 40 hours per week

Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda is looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated air conditioning engineers to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive air conditioning tasks across Portsmouth, Southampton, and the surrounding regions.

The work will be predominantly in commercial properties in the education, private, and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but are not limited to):
  1. Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to various air conditioning systems and equipment such as split, VRV, VRF, and heat pumps.
  2. Service air handling units, fan converters, and extractor fans.
  3. Perform general mechanical repairs and weekly PPM tests.
  4. Utilize Building and Management Systems.
  5. Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
  6. Collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access as required.
  7. Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site, and the general public at all times.
  9. Work at heights as required to fulfill the role.
  10. Work effectively on your own or as part of a team to ensure client contract expectations are met.
  11. Contact suppliers for replacement parts and cost information as needed.
  12. Perform any other tasks required by the company within your skill set/experience.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential:

  1. Recognized industry standard qualification.
  2. Ability to operate smart devices and complete electronic documentation.
  3. Ability to set up and program AC controls.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  6. Full UK driving license.
  7. Pass DBS/Police background checks for working in schools/Police stations.

Desirable:

  1. Manufacturers training courses.
  2. Demonstrated experience in a similar role and working sectors.
  3. Basic safe electrical working awareness.
  4. City & Guilds F Gas & ODS Regulations.
  5. City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems.
