Location: Newark on Trent, NG23 5NN (bordering Lincolnshire)
Position: Full Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)
Salary: £32,527 per annum on a successful completion of a 3 months' probation period. (Additional allowance may be applied subject to role requirement)
Serco has an exciting opportunity as an Aircraft Supervisor - Mechanical (unlicensed) at RAF Syerston, working under MAA Pt145/RA4801. We are seeking an individual capable of leading and supervising engineering personnel, performing maintenance on Viking and other contract-related aircraft at RAF Syerston and across the UK.
Responsibilities include:- Fulfilling the duties of Support Staff with Supervisory Responsibilities in accordance with Serco GMS policies and military regulations.
- Conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on Viking and other aircraft at RAF Syerston and various locations across the UK.
- Managing, supervising, and participating in aircraft activities, including ground movement and transportation preparation.
- Leading, managing, and controlling maintenance teams.
- Optimising output to meet business needs and demonstrating commitment to Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
- Performing additional roles as required, such as Deputy Aircraft Manager, Deputy Team Leader, Line Supervisor, Building Custodian, and Issue Centre Custodian.
- Experience in a similar engineering role with at least MOD Phase 2 technical training or equivalent civilian training.
- Proven or potential support staff supervisory experience.
- Strong fault diagnosis skills and a thorough understanding of aircraft systems.
- Full driving license.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills.
- Trade Allowance: May be provided based on role requirements and training completion.
- Early Finish: 3 pm on Fridays.
