Job Description

Context:

The Commercial Expertise Center groups all sales functions of the organization, ca. 250 people across the world with one main mission: serve our clients developing solutions that fit their needs and bring value to ENGIE. The transversal team is in charge of defining and implementing process and standards to improve Commercial Excellence and Customer Focus.

Role:

As Data Scientist, you will report to the Head of Transversal & Commercial Oversight. One of the key objectives for the department in 2025-26 is to leverage all available data and learn about customer behavior from it in order to boost sales and improve client knowledge. You will collaborate with the rest of the EC Commercial department to fulfill its missions and will be involved in projects involving data analytics.

Duration of the contract: 12 months

Key missions:

  1. Conduct inventory of available data, assess quality and reliability.
  2. Build models, perform analysis crossing data from different sources to derive insights related to client behavior and value.
  3. Develop, improve and support commercial analysis models and reporting tools.
  4. Contribute to the digitalization and data-driven decision-making process of GEMS.
  5. Leverage complex data to provide insight to the top management.
  6. Be in contact with data and CRM experts to exchange about models and new ideas in order to leverage the knowledge from peers.

Data modeling:

  1. Demonstrated coding skills (Python, SQL, R or other) in order to develop autonomous models.
  2. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  3. Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Dataiku or similar) is a plus.
  4. Experience with data storage infrastructures (e.g. AWS or similar) is a plus.

Languages:

Full proficiency in French and English both in written and spoken.

Education and professional background:

Student in Master's degree in Data Science or other major including a strong aspect of Data Science. Knowledge in energy markets is a plus.
