We are excited to be partnering with a well-established, owner-operated contract catering company renowned for its excellent customer service and focus on locally sourced, fresh food. Specialising in the Education, Business & Industry, and Care sectors, this company has earned a stellar reputation.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join this dynamic team. Initially, you will manage 8 schools, with plans to expand to 15 schools as you gain more experience and knowledge of the business. As Area Manager, you'll report to a supportive and experienced Operations Manager while playing a key role in the day-to-day operations. Your passion for food, service, and building strong client relationships will be essential in driving the success of the contracts under your management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple school sites within Derbyshire (this will expand in time to other areas within the East Midlands).
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly within the education sector.
- Lead, support, and motivate multi-site teams to achieve excellence in service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and processes while maintaining a flexible and non-corporate approach.
- Act as the key point of contact between clients, teams, and Head Office functions including HR, Accounts, and Purchasing.
- Monitor and report on site performance, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
- Solve problems quickly and efficiently to maintain smooth operational flow.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a multi-site/multi-client role within contract catering, ideally with experience in the education sector (primary schools preferred).
- Passion for fresh food and delivering exceptional service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams across different sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and with clients.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to produce detailed reports.
- A natural problem solver who is hands-on and visible in the business.
- A genuine interest in supporting the development of others.
