Job Description
Asbestos Specialist required to support leading local council in Dundee for 3 Months 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asbestos Specialist to join a leading local council in Tayside. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community by managing asbestos-related issues, particularly in relation to damp and mould conditions. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting stock condition surveys over a three-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of properties for asbestos, damp, and mould.
- Develop and implement effective management plans for asbestos removal and control.
- Perform stock condition surveys to evaluate the overall condition of council properties.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on asbestos management and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections and actions taken.
- Collaborate with other council departments and external contractors as needed.
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of asbestos regulations and best practices.
- Strong understanding of damp and mould issues and their impact on property conditions.
- Excellent surveying and assessment skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective management plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in asbestos management.
