LocationBased in York and London.
RoleAs an Assessment Manager, you will be a leader, responsible for ensuring that your team of investigators delivers high quality, timely assessments of new cases against challenging objectives, as well as progressing your own casework. Our work is underpinned by our principles of independence, impartiality, and fairness, focusing on remedying injustice to individuals and improving public services. You will also be a member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to promote, lead and contribute to projects and initiatives across the organisation and making a significant contribution to service and policy development.
Requirements EducationDegree or equivalent experience.
Skills- You will need the confidence to advise staff on whether or not individual cases merit detailed investigation - based on our Assessment Code.
- You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and will have a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, great communication skills, and enthusiasm.
- You will need to demonstrate the confidence, credibility, and ability to work with senior leaders internally to strategic priorities and performance objectives.
You will have a strong track record of leading teams and managing people and performance as well as a good knowledge of local government and/or adult social care.
