Job Summary
Kiwa Agri-Food is seeking an Assessor/Technical Reviewer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct technical reviews of the farm scheme and perform decision making on audit reports submitted by auditors on audits conducted in the UK and overseas. You will also conduct farm scheme audits and support the technical management of the farm schemes. This is a hybrid role with some travel required to our office in Harrogate and to conduct audits. About the role
- Reporting to the Head of Certification Delivery to support the technical management of the farm schemes.
- Conduct assessments of customers within the schemes.
- Witness and approve auditors ensuring auditors have the correct technical knowledge and expertise to conduct.
- Conduct technical reviews of audit reports, ensuring compliance and completeness within agreed timescales.
- Create strong relationships with customers and scheme owners, ensuring ongoing business.
- Provide feedback on quality or accreditation issues to the Head of Certification.
- Grade audit reports, and witness/approve auditors to ensure they have the necessary technical knowledge and expertise to conduct audits.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in electronic systems, supporting timely and accurate scheme activity reporting.
- Respond to participant and applicant queries, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Organise and attend meetings, training seminars, shows and events as required.
- Stay updated on Kiwa Agri-Food procedures, guidelines, and industry standards.
- Maintain technical knowledge via continuous professional development and develop knowledge of other areas in the sector.
- Maintain a safe working environment and support the company's growth and culture.
Do you have what it takes?
- Relevant experience working in the livestock industry, with strong operational knowledge of the farm sector.
- Technical knowledge of farm schemes, preferably in the pig and poultry sectors.
- HACCP training (can be provided as part of the role).
- Budget management awareness and the ability to meet set targets.
- Excellent planning, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of IT tools (Microsoft Office etc.).
- Dynamic, results-oriented with problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
What can you expect from us in return?
- £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

- 36.25 hours per week - Monday to Friday, hybrid working (up to 2 days in the office)
