Job Description

As an Assistant Financial Controller at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company. In this role, you will support various financial operations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information to aid in decision-making. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day accounting of the business, including processing supplier invoices, setting up payment runs and raising customer invoices.
  • Controlling the revenue generated on board the train.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with contract labour and FTE reporting.
  • Preparing bank reconciliation, verifying balances in the bank account and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Capex requests and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Uploading financial results and other data as required to the LVMH finance system.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification.
  • 2-4 years' experience within a similar role.
  • Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
