The role requires being involved in leading the talented regional team across Commercial & Procurement in the North-West of England. Your role will also involve delivering work with existing and new clients and being part of our national commercial and procurement leadership team, managing a growing team in North-West based offices including Manchester and Liverpool. Collaborating with key strategic partners, clients and colleagues across AtkinsRéalis globally, you'll enjoy working with people who pull together to get the job done. Your purpose:

  • Working with the Commercial and Procurement Leadership team you will be involved to help define our strategy and our future aspirations both for the North-West and across the UK.
  • Defining and leading on the regional strategy for the discipline.
  • Directing the sub-sector teams on the implementation of the strategy and working with the operational business on delivery.
  • Leading on team engagement/care and management. Supporting the identification of target clients and the development of an engagement plan.
  • Innovation - constantly reviewing how to do things better and more efficiently.
  • Recruitment - identifying the key resources we need, where we need them and why. Leading the recruitment process to grow our business.
  • Working closely with the operational business on direction and strategy. Reviewing and assessing performance of our people and supporting the operational business in driving efficiency across the region.

What you can bring:

  • Strong and proven infrastructure experience for sectors including Local Transport notably for Defence, Water Energy, Aviation, Rail or Highways projects.
  • Proven track record in effective management of diverse team(s) either at discipline level, or on major/complex commissions or projects, for major client(s), including maximising performance and confidently dealing with performance related issues developing and growing people to promote the next generation of leaders.
  • An inspiring leader, known for your principles. Deeply committed to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator and influencer.
  • Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or other forms of contract. A professional with regional credibility.

Security clearance:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
