Job Description

Role Summary

The position focuses on:

  1. Client Leadership: Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, primarily in public affairs related to the built environment.
  2. Strategic Guidance: Offering insightful analysis and advice to clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  3. Business Development: Growing the company's built environment practice and aiding in marketing and sales efforts.
  4. Team Mentorship: Supporting and coaching junior consultants.
  5. Project Execution: Leading and delivering campaigns that shape the built environment and support economic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Management: Lead and nurture relationships with existing clients; foster new business prospects; provide strategic, high-quality advice and analysis.
  2. Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, guiding their professional development; ensure consistent quality in team deliverables.
  3. Business Development: Support marketing initiatives for the built environment practice; drive efforts to secure new client accounts.
  4. Campaign Execution: Oversee communications, public affairs, and consultation campaigns; focus on projects related to planning, development, infrastructure, and local government.

Candidate Profile

  1. Experience: 6+ years in a communications/public affairs role, preferably in a consultancy or in-house environment.
  2. Expertise: Proven ability in managing accounts, delivering campaigns, and navigating the built environment, planning, or public affairs landscape.
  3. Interests: A strong passion for the built environment, current affairs, storytelling, politics, policy, and digital campaigning.
  4. Skills: Exceptional writing abilities with attention to detail, and experience in line management.
  5. Work Style: Thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
