About Bioregional

Bioregional is an award-winning sustainability charity and social enterprise headquartered in Europe's largest climate tech cluster. Our consultancy teams work with some of the world's leading businesses, helping them deliver high-impact sustainability strategies that respond to the climate and ecological emergency.

We are now recruiting an experienced consultant to work closely with our Director of Sustainable Business to lead and grow our Sustainable Business team and play a leading role in advising high-profile clients, from multinational retailers to the United Nations.

As Associate Director, you will help shape and deliver our work by developing relationships with new clients and managing key strategic relationships.

As well as taking a leading role in business development, you will work with sector-leading retailers and other organisations on carbon footprint and net-zero strategy, sustainability strategy, governance and reporting, and the development of sustainable products.

You will inspire our ambitious junior consultants, helping them to deliver quality outputs and develop their skills and careers.

You are a commercially minded and client-facing senior sustainability specialist with skills in networking, creating relationships, and a good knowledge of current and future market trends. Ideally, you are experienced in the sustainability of retail and asset management sectors and have presented or engaged clients at a senior level.

You are creative and able to think on your feet, with strong presentation and communication skills, alongside the ability to undertake and oversee quality research and technical deliverables.

Ideally, you:

  • have a strong interest and knowledge of sustainability, from an environmental and/or social perspective, based on personal conviction as well as academic and/or practical experience,
  • have experience of sustainability consultancy in the retail or asset management sectors, with a track record of engaging senior clients,
  • excel at presentation, persuasion, and reassurance to win hearts and minds, and possess good leadership and collaboration skills,
  • can work with businesses as a trusted adviser, using your deep knowledge of sustainability and market trends to encourage them to raise their sustainability ambition.

Qualifications

You will have a strong background and qualifications in sustainability, with 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Your new team

At Bioregional, you will join sustainability experts who are dedicated to creating real impact that helps create a more sustainable world. We are entrepreneurial and professional, always delivering the highest standards of work and giving colleagues the freedom to innovate. And we treat everyone with respect, support our colleagues, and embrace diversity and inclusion to create an environment in which everyone can thrive.

What's in it for you?
  1. Work-life balance: Work is only one part of your life and making time for other things is important. We are committed to giving you the flexibility to work at different locations and times.
  2. A commitment to diversity and inclusion: We foster a supportive, inclusive workplace where people can be themselves and achieve great things.
  3. Health and wellbeing: We ensure we're a great place to work through regular feedback with colleagues and run regular social activities.

  5. An ethical employer: We live our values in everything we do, including a 6% employer's ethical pension contribution and 25 days of annual leave.

We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, religion/belief, marital status, pregnancy stage, maternity/paternity status, or any other equality characteristic.
