Job Description
Overview Position: Associate HR Business Partner (Lounges)

Location: Flexible - Based near one of our airport lounges (Belfast City, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Humberside, Inverness, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, or Cork).Reporting to: Senior HR Business Partner

Role Overview:

As an Associate HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operational managers across our airport lounge locations. You'll partner with leadership teams to align HR strategies with business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and develop capabilities. Your expertise will help drive HR initiatives and create impactful solutions to achieve business goals within our dynamic lounge environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership teams to align HR strategies with the unique needs of our airport lounges.
  • Act as a change agent, driving processes and strategies to support transformation initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance to managers on HR aspects, including:
    • Performance management
    • Disciplinary and grievance matters
    • Absence management
    • TUPE processes and union relationships
  • Coach leadership on complex employee relations issues such as restructuring, policy interpretation, talent management, and organisational design.
  • Conduct labour forecasting analysis to identify current and future resource needs, tailoring talent acquisition strategies for lounge operations.
  • Deliver employee engagement and harmonisation programmes to foster a strong team culture.
  • Build positive relationships with trade union representatives, managing interactions within a unionised environment effectively.
  • Evaluate HR data, identifying patterns and trends to develop proactive HR solutions.
Qualifications
  • CIPD qualified
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a Business Partnering role
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to coach managers and employees through complex situations.
  • Experience with the full employee lifecycle, including talent development and change management.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Kronos is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
