Salary: £25,400 - £28,800 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

ABOUT OUR DATA INSIGHTS TEAMThe Data & Insights team sits in the Brands & Licensing department and works closely with all parts of the BBC Studios business: content marketing & customer engagement, digital consumer engagement, production, sales & distribution. Working in close collaboration with other areas of Insight across BBC Studios including other members of the Global Insight Team, regional researchers, Content Planners and PS Audiences teams.
The team has a wealth of data and methodologies to utilise, from industry tools such as Barb, YouGov Profiles and Tubular, to running qualitative focus groups and communities, and quantitative surveys.
THE ROLEReporting into the Digital Insights Manager, the Research Executive role will support the Insight team through generating, analysing and communicating consumer insights to BBC Studios' Digital Content and Commercials teams, who create content for BBC Studios' digital channels (YouTube, Facebook etc), to support fan engagement, and maximise the commercial opportunity in this space via ad sales and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Insight Manager & Head of Planning in the analysis and dissemination of insights across the business.
- Be an expert in our analytics tools e.g. YouGov, GWI, Statista and use them to identify commercial opportunities for BBC Studios.
- Support a range of research projects that explore consumer attitudes and behaviour, with a focus on digital and social media business needs.
- Create compelling ways to communicate insights and deliver them through meetings, presentations, email and webinars.
- Keep track of wider audience trends and emerging competitors, articulating how and why these might affect BBC Studios' business.
- Proactively build relationships and collaborate with data teams and other insight teams, ensuring that our work dovetails and delivers fresh insights.
- Contribute to research agency work including providing feedback to help ensure conclusions are relevant, actionable and of high standards.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;
- Experience in market research with the ability to research digital and/or social media trends and opportunities.
- Experience using audience measurement tools, e.g. audience profiling tools (YouGov Profiles, GWI, TGI), digital tools (Tubular, Synthesio etc) and data sets/tools (e.g. Omdia, Ampere).
- A passion and aptitude for sharing knowledge and insight creatively and the ability to clearly communicate data.
- Proficiency in utilizing research techniques to analyse audience behaviours, trends, and preferences.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA;
- Experience in the media or entertainment industries is desirable.
