Audit and Accountancy Senior OR Manager

A leading accountancy and business services firm has a key job opportunity, commutable from locations like Derby, Burton-on-Trent, Coalville, Ashby etc. They are seeking to hire into an important role, including audit amongst general practice work and available at anywhere up to around Assistant Manager / Manager grade.

OVERVIEW:

This position may suit someone who has completed their exams (ACA / ACCA) and is looking to take the next step up into an Assistant Manager / Manager position.

This vacancy will be predominantly audit for 6 months of the year and a mix of accounts and audit for the second half of the year. This role might suit someone who is working in or around a Top 100 firm and therefore has a good understanding of accounts preparation as well as solely audit. People from good independent accountancy firms who have some audit experience are also encouraged to apply.

This practice uses IT systems like Iris for accounts production and CaseWare Cloud for all of their audit work. The client portfolio is across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, e-commerce, pharmaceutical, software, and motor.

Salary will depend on the chosen applicant's experience and qualification, but is likely to be circa £40-£50k for a senior going into an assistant manager position, or for more of an established manager of a mixed portfolio, more like the £48-£60k mark, including an additional discretionary bonus scheme.

Although the firm does not have a formal hybrid working policy, they do have informal arrangements with individual staff members, depending on the work they would be involved in.
