Our client is a small practice in east London that works on sectors including Commercial, Retail, Masterplanning, Mixed Use, Residential, Office and Industrial. They are currently seeking an AutoCAD Technician / CAD Technician to join their retail / commercial team.
This new opportunity presents an exciting opening for an AutoCAD Technician / CAD Technician with a keen eye for detail to contribute to fast-moving retail Store Planning projects. Working alongside architects and other technicians you will translate data-driven insights into precise, efficient, and commercially viable store layouts. Using AutoCAD, you will produce accurate 2D drawings that help refine floor plans, optimise customer flow, and ensure layouts align with operational requirements, brand standards, and compliance regulations.
Initially covering maternity leave for 7/8 months (with the possibility of a permanent position in due course), this role offers the chance to work in a friendly and collaborative workplace, contributing to high-profile projects within a structured and well-supported environment. Prior store planning experience isn't necessary, you will receive training to get up to speed.
Key Requirements: You should be a versatile, attentive and organised professional with a CV that highlights:
• You are an AutoCAD Technician with 2-4 years' industry experience in the UK.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other design tools is a bonus).
• Experience of playing an active role in live projects and collaborating with different disciplines.
• First-class communication skills (fluent English - written & spoken).
• The ability to visualise, illustrate, and present ideas clearly.
• Strong technical and practical problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
This role is office based to start with and some hybrid working will be offered at a later date. Candidates must have full right to work in the UK.
