Job Description: As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for our pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure that our systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Program and configure control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) to optimize operations.
- Work with PCS7 and Rockwell systems to implement and maintain automation solutions.
- Utilize OSI PI for data collection and analysis to enhance process efficiency.
- Integrate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to streamline production workflows.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems.
- Write and update technical documentation, including specifications, procedures, and validation reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and the implementation of new technologies.
- Train personnel on the use of automated systems and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field).
- 3 years of professional experience in automation, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector.
- Proficiency in PCS7, Rockwell, OSI PI, or MES systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, etc.) and good manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in automation programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
- Experience with control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) and supervisory tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
