Job Description
Automotive Security Researcher
Hybrid - Brussels
As part of our team, you will independently evaluate the security of various products by conducting attacks and reverse engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on security testing and reverse engineering (black/grey/white box, depending on the project).
- Perform vulnerability research on a variety of embedded devices (primarily ARM-based), including automotive-specific components and products.
- Conduct security source code reviews, primarily in C/C++.
- Develop security assessment tools and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for identified vulnerabilities.
- Write clear vulnerability reports and provide guidance to development teams on resolving security issues.
- Identify potential threats and weaknesses in products and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Document findings and knowledge in the form of guidelines, checklists, and examples for development teams.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and techniques, including:
- Debuggers, decompilers, disassemblers, deobfuscators, static and dynamic binary analysis, binary injection, packet sniffers
Experience in testing automotive products, particularly:
- Android Automotive OS, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Qualcomm platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
- Anti-tamper tools and techniques, hardware attack vectors, malware analysis, cryptography (e.g., RSA, SHA, AES), security architecture for Android/iOS OS, networking protocols, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
