Role Description

Supporting the General Manager in delivering our core pillar of Exceptional Hospitality, you'll be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the bar. This role is perfect for an experienced and ambitious Bars Manager with an eye for all things cocktail knowledge (not just the classics!) and prior experience with menu development. This new and exciting role is well suited to an experienced Bars Manager looking for a new challenge in a large, iconic and high volume food hall with a range of diverse offerings. As the Bars Manager, you'll support, supervise, train and lead the bar team at our busy bar. Ensuring the entire team can efficiently serve the best quality mixed drinks at speed, and with exceptional hospitality.

You'll make sure we exceed customer expectations, achieve profitability, minimise waste, control GP and promote a positive, productive and engaged work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the General Manager in all aspects of the operations to ensure the smooth running of the bars at all times including delivering on financial, H&S and people targets
  • Support the general management team with the recruitment, training, and development of the bar team, fostering a people-first culture and emphasizing leadership and staff welfare.
  • Lead by example at all times as an ambassador for KERB and Seven Dials Market- exceptional hospitality only
  • Take full management of our bar and work closely with the GM, AGM's and on-site bar team to ensure drinks products and service excel in their field whilst achieving financial targets
  • Order wet and dry stock to par levels and organise the acceptance of these deliveries
  • Review systems and practices constantly to ensure high level of on-site productivity
  • Ensure clear communication channels between KERB and all key stakeholders
  • Support management team to make sure that KERB Seven Dials Market is legally compliant with H&S, Food Hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws and sales of goods/ trading standards.
  • Ensure on-site practices are in line with company sustainability policy
  • Work closely with Event Sales Manager assisting with the production and execution of events and activations
  • Work with the management team to maintain and manage the venue's equipment
  • Support management team to roll out learning and development initiatives
  • Work closely with the Group Recruitment & Staffing Manager on ensuring excellent candidate experience and influence the recruitment process to attract and assess top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Partner with the HQ People team team to address performance management, team morale, and personnel issues, applying solid HR practices.
