BMSI is thrilled to offer a rare opportunity for an exceptional Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Design Manager to join our Major Projects Team. This unique role is based at a site in the RG7 area-providing you with the rare opportunity of limited travel while working closely with a standout client. Reporting to our Regional Projects Manager, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact in one location, with fantastic potential for career development. What you'll do:
- Develop detailed scope from RIBA Stage 4 to RIBA Stage 5 for manufacture and installation
- Read and understand Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC Specifications
- Develop design in accordance with HAL standards
- Read and understand Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
- Read and understand Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC services drawings
- Liaise with Consultant and Client to develop, agree and approve the final design
- Create, develop and get approvals for:
- BMS Points Lists
- Operating and Maintenance Manuals
- Equipment Schedules (choosing and sizing equipment)
- Valve Schedules (choosing and sizing valves and actuators)
- Integration of high-level system, across a number of disciplines
- Manage the production of the software and graphics
- Work within commercial budgets and time constraints (Contract Programme)
- Liaise with Panel Manufacturer, to arrange panel build and check panel schematic wiring diagrams and get approvals
- Manage and attend Factory Acceptance Tests with Consultant and Client
- Update documents as required and provide final documentation
- Attend meetings with the site professional team
- Work with our clients online e-document system
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within Building Management Systems
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar package
- Familiar with the Schneider produce
- You must be able to easily commute to the RG7 area
- Applicants must be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process
- A passion for engineering and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient in Word, Excel and an understanding of MS Projects
- Due to client requirements, applicants must be British Nationals and hold a British passport
